Museum of the Moon!

One of the best things about being a pupil at Prebendal is that we have so many fabulous venues right on our doorstep.

From The Novium Museum to Pallant House Gallery, from the Festival Theatre to Westgate Leisure Centre, everything is a short walk.

Taking advantage of our proximity to Chichester Cathedral, Year 8 have visited the Museum of the Moon. They estimated its size, then used facts about the model and their knowledge of scale factors to calculate the volume and surface area of the real moon. They discovered that scaling in 3D space is not as straightforward as it first seems!
