Moving to the Area
West Sussex: History, festivals, Goodwood, water sports, sandy beaches, and the South Downs; you’ll wish you made the move years ago.
Our families live in an arc around the school from the coast at Emsworth up to Petersfield, across to Midhurst, Petworth and Pulborough and down to the coast again at Middleton-on-Sea. We have minibuses that bring children in to school each morning.
To find out more about our minibus service, please email us: office@prebendalschool.org.uk.
Chichester
Surrounded by 1800-year-old Roman walls, Chichester is a beautiful cathedral city. In its centre is a late-medieval market cross, from which its largely pedestrianised four main streets head north, south, east, and west.
It is home to Chichester Festival Theatre, which is renowned for the exceptionally high standard of its productions, and Pallant House Gallery, which exhibits an extensive collection of Modern British Art. It is surrounded by picturesque villages, each with their own character and community.
Chichester Harbour AONB
Whether sailing, walking, cycling, bird watching or simply going to the beach, the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a wonder. Visitors marvel at the beauty of the channels and the criss-crossing inlets over mudflats and saltmarsh at low tide, and the glittering expanse of sea at high tide.
South Downs National Park
The vistas are of rolling hills, heathland, river valleys, ancient woodlands, and breath-taking views down the coast. We all benefit from this beautiful, tranquil area on our doorstep for walking, mountain biking, and wildlife spotting.
Goodwood
Goodwood, nestled in the South Downs, is a private estate with its own racecourse where you can cheer the horses home; and an iconic motor circuit which hosts the famous Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival. There is also an organic farm, four restaurants, two 18-hole golf courses, an aerodrome, health club, The Kennels private members’ club and a hotel.
